Simple Space

*Im still VERY new to all this, but as i learn i plan on making the game better! We all have to start somewhere! Also, when importing to Itch, some bugs popped up and i am working to fix them!

WELCOME TO SIMPLE SPACE!

Simple Space is a typical Space-Shooter game where your goal is to survive and achieve the highest SCORE , however, your SCORE is also used to upgrade your ship! Simple Space was created with the goal of learning the basics of game development. This game was developed with absolutely NO development experience...just many hours of youtube videos, and a few sleepless nights😂

PLAY USING ONLY 2 BUTTONS

Take on the enemies using only the LEFT & RIGHT arrow keys!

CHOOSE BETWEEN 2 DIFFERENT GAME MODES!

SIMPLE MODE: 

Start with 3 lives and play the game as intended

NOT-SO-SIMPLE MODE:

Start out with only 1 life, and everything insta-kills you upon collision

SURVIVE FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE!

Stay alive for as long as possible, defeating 8 different types of enemies, and beating your highest score!

SAVE YOUR SCORE, OR USE IT FOR UPGRADES!

Just like any other Arcade Style games, each enemy upon elimination will award you with a set amount of score, which can me increased by upgrading your ship! There are 4 upgrades available:

+FIRE-RATE

+SCORE

+LIVES

+SHIELD

ABOUT POORBOYZ GAMING

After countless hours of playing video games, and watching game development videos on YouTube, i decided i wanted to try my hand in game development. On January 6th, 2024, i purchased a laptop and started my coding adventure in Godot! The entire Simple Space project goal,  was to start and complete a simple arcade style game and upload it here!
